Sunday, June 9th at Woodside the girls met their first match...Whitby Iroquois.  Six of the girls from the team just returned from OFSAA finals, so half of the squad would have some tired legs, and would have to be prepared for this match!  The team attacked the entire game and out scored their opponent 12-0.  In their first game for the team, Kylie D'Souza(2) and Jenna Munro(1) pocketed goals.  Jenna in her previous seasons was a goal keeper, but her new team now uses her as an outside midfielder.  Kylie in all her past seasons played as a full back, but now she plays as a striker or outside midfielder.
Goal Scorers:
Alexa Cimermancic X4
Sasha Marikano X2
Kylie D'Souza X2
Lexi Kroeker
Myaura Browne
Gabby Machado
Jenna Munro

With this win the Kitchener Elite Academy 02 Girls (KEA02Girls) advance to the next round of the Ontario Cup Championships round robin tournament to be held in King City July 12-14. The teams they will compete against teams they have played in the past with positive results, but with a tournament structure such as this, anything can happen.  KEA 02 Girls will be facing Erin Mills, Ajax and last year's finalist of the Ontario Cup...King City Royals.
