  1. KSC Code of Conduct and Confidentiality Agreement for Volunteers

I will teach my players to play fairly and to respect the rules, officials, volunteers and all players.

I will ensure all players receive equal instruction, support and playing time.

I will not ridicule or yell at my players for making mistakes or for performing poorly.

I will remember that players play to have fun, and must be encouraged to have confidence in themselves.

I will ensure equipment and facilities are safe and match the player’s ages and abilities.

I will examine the playing surface and its surroundings, insisting the field of play is safe and conducive for play. I will remove all debris and report all faults in the field conditions to the Kitchener Soccer Club.

I will remember participants need a coach they can respect.  I will be generous with praise and set a good example.

I will work in conjunction with officials for the benefit of the game.

I will respect game officials (referees, linesman, convenors) and the decisions they make.

I will go over the ‘Players Code of Conduct’ and ‘Parents Code of Conduct’ with the players and parents on my team.

I will maintain high standards of personal conduct and fair play.

I will never be involved in any circumstance, which may be offensive or suggest sexual connotations.

I understand I am responsible for ensuring all players, bench personnel and my team’s spectators do not interfere with the match.

I will not ridicule, show disrespect, or yell at any game official.

I will be on time and prepared for games and practices.

I will dress appropriately and wear the coach’s shirt provided to me by the Club at all games and practices so that I present a professional image of the Club and can be easily identified.

I will make sure all athletes are dressed appropriately, sporting full Club uniform, as well as shin pads and appropriate footwear.

I understand that all information directly or indirectly received through my involvement with the Kitchener Soccer Club, is to be kept strictly private and confidential.  This would include all business related to the Club (i.e. financial information, personal issues relating to staff and other volunteers, and participant/family information). A break in this oath of confidentiality may result in my being asked to leave my position within the Club.  I have read and understand all of the above.
