How To Get Involved (Kitchener Soccer Club)

PrintHow To Get Involved

The Kitchener Soccer Club could not run without the hundreds of volunteers we have each season.  If you’re looking for a way to get involved, here’s how:

House League Coach, Assistant Coach & Special Needs Assistant Coach

The application process for Outdoor Coaches & Assistant Coaches begins the last week of January.  Applications can be completed either online or in person at the KSC office.  Online applications are on our website under House League Coaches.  In addition to completing a coaching application, each coach & assistant coach must have an up to date Police Records Check.  A Records Check Form can be obtained from the KSC office upon acceptance as a volunteer.  Each house league and special needs volunteer is required to attend our House League Coaching Clinic held at the end of April for Outdoor and the end of September for Indoor.  Details for the clinic will be emailed to all volunteers upon acceptance into our program.  For more information regarding becoming a house league coach or assistant coach, please contact our house league coordinator at [email protected].

Academy & Rep Coach

Applications to coach a Rep or Academy team are accepted each August, with exact deadlines posted on the KSC website in the weeks leading up to the application deadline date.  The application can be completed online or in person at the KSC office.  Online application can be found on the KSC website under Academy & Rep Coaches.  The Academy & Rep Coaching Application includes coaching qualifications (any and all OSA coaching courses) and previous coaching experience.  In addition to completing a coaching application, each coach & assistant coach must have an up to date Police Records Check.  A Records Check Form can be obtained from the KSC office upon acceptance as a volunteer.  For more information regarding becoming an Academy or Rep volunteer, please contact our program manager at [email protected].

Special Events Volunteer

Each year, the Kitchener Soccer Club hosts or takes part in events that require volunteer assistance – Kidspark, hosting Ontario Cup, Soccerfest and Photo Day.  Most events require two to four volunteers for various tasks.  For more information on volunteering at one of our special events, please contact us at [email protected]  or complete the Special Events Volunteer Form.
